Directions from San Antonio Airport to Bandera:
Leaving San Antonio Airport you take Highway 281 North (watch out: it's the first possible right when leaving the Airport and the sign is kind of small...) and exit onto Loop 1604 West (AndersonLoop). Stay on Loop 1604 West and exit onto Highway 16 North/Bandera Road. Drive on Bandera Road which will lead you through LeonValley, Helotes, Pipe Creek and bring you directly into Bandera (from Bandera - see maps)
Directions from Houston to Bandera:
Drive all the way from Houston to San Antonio on I 10. Coming close to San Antonio probably the best will be to exit onto Loop 1604 (North, later on it turns into West) and to stay on 1604 until you exit onto Hwy. 16 North/Bandera Road). Drive on Bandera Road which will lead you through LeonValley, Helotes, Pipe Creek and bring you directly into Bandera (from Bandera - see maps)
Directions from Dallas/Austin to Bandera:
Take I-35 all the way through Austin to New Braunfels. Exit in New Braunfels onto Highway 46 West to Boerne. Stay on Hwy. 46 all the way through Boerne and it will intersect with Highway 16. Turn right onto Highway 16 North, which will bring you directly into Bandera (from Bandera - see maps)
From Bandera to Running R Ranch:
At the main set of traffic lights you take a left onto 173 towards Hondo (this is also Main Street). Cross the MedinaRiver right at the edge of town and about 300 yards after the river turn right onto Farmroad 1077 (it just turns right!). You will see a sign at the beginning saying "Hill Country State Natural Area". Drive about 9.5 miles on Farmroad 1077 until you seeour sign and a white entrance on your left.
Turn left and drive up the hill.
