Last two weeks we have spend several days and nights at your marvelous ranch. We would like to thank you for the amazing time, your great horses and lovely company. We spend a great holiday at your ranch. And while I am working at a travel agency and can't stop talking about your kindness, your beautiful ranch and especially about your horses. Please give Kopenhagen a big hug from us and a big kiss on his soft nose. It goes without saying that we will be visiting you again. My husband and I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Running R! It was great!!! I'm looking forward to going back again soon! The horses were great! Diane, the owner, was wonderful! She spent time talking with us and made us feel at home! The wranglers, Kenny and John were awesome! They have a lot of experience and were very friendly. I went out on one ride with Kenny and he entertained us all with jokes and a song! (He's actually a good singer!) Thank you Diane, Kenny and John for making our stay/visit a great one! My family had such a great time. Everyone was very accomodating and made us feel right at home. Our kids were too young to ride, but managed to ride around the yard. They were both so happy and proud. The riding was tops. Foods and cabins were excellent. We were only there for 2 days, but it felt like we were there longer because we came back home feeling refreshed! Looking forward to visiting again.  Austin, TX, USA - 21.03.2010, 21:25

My wife and I recently spent a week at the Running R.We have been to several different ranches in both the Eastern U.S. and the West.This was a very personal experience.We actually ate our breakfast and lunch at the same table with the owner and the staff.We bussed our dishes right into the kitchen.We had several good dinners in Bandera but for the most part in the evenings we cooked our own meals in the Lodge.All the needed utensils and plates are there.We tended the fire and watched T.V.Just like home.The riding is what it is all about though.The wranglers on ranches can be aloof we have found.Allen and Dwight at the Running R are just the nicest guys.No stupid questions for them and they really strive to match you to a horse.Nose to tail can get old at times and both Allen and Dwight will try to let you do a side to side,and really experience reining your horse.The cabins and lodge are spotless and rustic.It is not a contrived wild west dude ranch, it's like home with your own corral.Folks looking for non stop activities and evening entertainment will be disappointed.We weren't.Thanks to Dianne,Allen,Dwight,Vera,Mike and Brian. Dianne, Dwight, Allen and Brian I have to say this was quite an adventure for my sister Christina and I. Thank yall so much for first makin sure we even got to the ranch then making sure we felt rght at home once we got there and for getting us back to the airport :) Stuck without a rental car has never been so much fun!!! I can't tell ya how much it meant to my sister and I to be included in evening activites like we were part of the crew and for yall to offer to take us to town for food and nite life :) Allen and Dwight, thanks so much for the amazing horseback rides, letting us help yall with the horses and for yalls wonderful humor :) there was never a dull moment!! This was truely the best vacation we ever had. Our granddaughter, Claire had a fantastic time at your ranch last week. Allen, Dwight and Lynsey provided a great time on the trail rides and she enjoyed her time spent around the barn area.Diane you have to be very proud of your staff from the wranglers to the cook. What an incredible weekend!! It don't get no better than that. The rooms are spacious and make you feel like you're on your own ranch. Diane, you have an awesome crew. (Lynsey, Dwight, Allen; yawl are the greatest) In my profession I would like to think I know a little something. Let me say your horses are in great shape and well mannered. I was proud,and privileged to get to ride them. You can tell yawl really take good care of them. We never went hungry, neither. Good groceries and plenty of it. And naturally, plenty of good country to ride in. Your personality and hospitality made us feel like we belonged there. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. We will see yawl agin. I needed a relaxing getaway for just myself and headed to the Running R. It was more than what I could have hoped for - amazing food, great horses and even greater people - all surrounded by the beauty of nature. I hadn't even left the gates of the ranch before trying to figure out a time when I'll be able to plausibly return. I definitely wished I had booked a longer stay! Surfing in the internet I found your homepage again. And I remember the days we spent at Running-R Ranch. It was in 1996(!!) and the ranch was quite new. We´ll never forget this time. And I´m sure that we´ll come back one day.  Ruderting, Germany - 22.01.2010, 08:00
