Forgot the name and I have been searching the net and am very glad to see that the place is still thriving and bringing joy to a bunch of folk. As I recall Ralph brought out a fine wine at the camp fire one night and we all had a wonderful visit. We will be back this fall and have two additions, Katherine (3) and Anna (6 months). Another amazing thing is we were the only family that was not German and after a day or two my then 5 year old was speaking fluent German playing with the other children.Good times Murphy , Texas - 16.09.2005, 22:52 Gary Joyce   What a wonderful week at Running R! Thanks to Ralph, Iris and the crew at the ranch for their hospitality and the warmth of their welcome. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble... I enjoyed my stay even though I had never been riding before. The horses were *very* well behaved though...Love to all at Running R. Bandit was the best horse to my 7 year old! Pete, Luke, Spike, Little Red, Napoleon, Zeus, just to name a few, made our trail riding a lot of fun. Our experience there created some of our fondest memories. The cabins were charming, the food was excellent, the surroundings were beautiful, and, perhaps most endearing, your staff made us feel like family. Emily has been taking riding lessons (English), and we've met several new acquaintances at the arena to whom we've recommended The Running-R. I think we're long overdue for a return visit ourselves. Little things like the fantastic wrangler who adjusted my saddle and lead (instead of eating breakfast) after hearing about my challenge of not having control my horse (and I didn't even ask), and Iris remembering everyone's names are what will bring me back again.
