I was anxious since I located your ranch from a magazine ad so I had no point of reference -- I should have checked the online guestbook first - I'd have been much more confident about my decision. Barbara has been wanting to go horseback riding since we've been married (9 years) and I was hoping she would REALLY enjoy it - you and your staff truly exceeded my expectations for the weekend. We started school late this year, and I regret to say we were not able to take our paradise vacation at the ranch in October as we planned. We had a wonderful time at the Running R courtesy of you all. We cannot thank you enough for your hospitality. The only complaint we have is that the food was so good that we both put on weight regardless of all the exercise we had. I am sure Cochise noticed the difference as the week progressed. Our thanks to Mary, Shorty and Jim for their excellent company, sparkling wit and supervision on the rides. This is due to my home away from home...the Running R. Not only are the cabins very roomy, clean and spider-free, but Iris treats me like family...she can't wait until I leave. But seriously folks, the food here is so good that you will throw all diets out the window and make sure you don't miss one meal...no matter how late you stay out the night before! The riding is spectacular, and the wonderful wranglers are the greatest...Shorty, Jim, Mary and Cody are very patient with beginners and provide an invigorating ride for those guests who are more advanced riders. Kudos to Ralph, Doo and Carla for the great stories, jokes and tall tales. I look forward to coming back and terrorizing the townsfolk very soon.
