I just wanted to thank each & everyone of you for making all of us feel very much at home & like family (Ron, Barbara, Johanna, & Will). I had one of the very best times of my life & will never forget the kindness that each of showed to us.
Thanks so much for the help up & down on the horses to you wranglers. I know that it wasn't easy for you, but I wanted you to know that it meant the world to me to get to ride.
I hope that each of you is doing well.
I highly recommend your ranch to anyone considering a similar getaway. If you are looking for friendly folks, great food, a quiet place, & wonderful trail rides, this is it.

My mom, dad, fiance and I just got back from a 3-day weekend at the RR Ranch. I have nothing to say, except FANTASTIC. Kendall, Anita, Alyssa, Mike and Cowboy were just incredible. My mom has arthritis in her knees, and it is hard to get on a horse for her. However, all of the people above helped her on and never made a negative comment. They told us at the end of the trip what a pleasure it was to ride with us!! This was my mom's dream...to be able to ride a horse. She thought she was way past her prime. Thanks RR Ranch for making my mom's dream come true.

We came to the ranch about two years ago. I had the most amazing time. My husband proposed to me there overlooking the hills during one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen. The night sky was also breathtaking. I have never seen anything like it. The staff made us feel so welcome. After my husband proposed to me, everyone at the ranch knew about it and was congratulating us. I hope to return there for our one year anniversary this March. I cannot think of anywhere else I would rather spend it.

Imagine my terrible dismay when, a few weeks before our scheduled visit to the ranch for a much deserved vacation, I broke my foot! I worte to Iris and told her what happened to me, and she told me absolutely not to worry, that they would do everything they could to make me comfortable.
She was so right! The wranglers were wonderful, rigging up a stirrup for me to fit my "boot", a huge black molded plastic monster that I had to wear. It seemed as if my horse, Walker, knew that I was in pain and unbalanced, and he took really good care of me too!
Everything worked out beautifully, we had a fantastic time, and my husband Richard and I hope to come again someday soon, with a healed foot and lots of time to explore beautiful Bandera.
I'd love to put that "boot" on the fence with all the others!
Sincere thanks to all for a wonderful trip!!

My wife and I stayed on the ranch on the 5/6 Oct 08, and we absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect. The ranch was home. The welcome we recieved from all the staff was like meeting old friends again.
The cowboys and cowgirls made us feel so welcome and not just tourists. Even eating with the guests and talking to them like friends
The horse riding was fantastic, teaching us to ride cowboy style and informative about the horses, the land and its history.
The accommodation is basic but very comfortable, with big comfy beds and loads of hot water.
The food was excellent and plenty of it.
We would like to pass on our thanks to all the staff for making our stay such a memorable experience. Our Deer Heart (Texas Heart stone) has pride of place by our fireplace.
We are already looking at booking for next year, but for longer this time.

We just got back from our Vacation at the Running R ranch this past Friday. Its only been 5 days and I already miss the place all the crew, the peace and quiet, the good food and all the riding. I have been telling everyone I see what a good time we had and how I now have horse fever again! I have owned several horses in the past and hoped to get another one one of these days. Well when we got back because I had been talking about our vacation to everyone I saw I met a woman who had an older horse she wanted to find a good home for. She brought the horse to a boarding stable close to my home and is allowing me to try him out to she if we click. If I want him he is mine. I can't believe how fate intervened to get me another horse when I have been wanting another for so long. Melissa you won't need to look for me a horse I can't believe I already have one and for free. If I hadn't been so thrilled about the Running R I don't believe any of this would have transpired. Thanks Guys we will be back and maybe we can bring our horse with us next time.
